If you think we’ve got problems with migrants, you should check out France. In some cities in France, several mayors published an open letter in a national paper, crying out to their President Macron for more help in dealing with the migrant crisis.
The open letter, published in the newspaper LeMonde (the World) is begging for more help for their crunched cities, who report that they have been taking in “several thousand” refugees every month. This is causing a social emergency that can no longer be ignored by their country’s government, as these small cities are not able to support these newcomers flooding their borders. In fact, they are “completely saturated” with these migrants, arriving from the Middle East and Africa.
But hey, didn’t this whole mess start because Syrians were supposedly fleeing their borders? Well, the insanity is French newspapers still manage to easily find men from nations including Eritrea, which is considered one of the worst countries in the world by measures of freedom.
The open letter sent to Le Monde is signed off by the mayors from the French cities of Lille, Bordeaux, Strasbourg, Grenoble, Rennes, Toulouse and Nantes. From the map below, you can see these cities are spread far and wide all over the country which is slightly smaller than Texas.
The mayors of these cities, in translation, want the French national government to set up a “network of solidarity between the cities of France” to help them deal with personnel and equipment costs. In addition, they want President Macron to hold meetings “at the highest level” and “without delay” address and discuss what to do with this immigration emergency.
However, the French Interior Minister has already issued a response to the open letter, which was published on Saturday. But, the response doesn’t mean there will be immediate action, only suggestions. The Minister has proposed an additional 20,000 housing units by next year to help the cities balance the distribution of refugees. Finally, the Minister wants the French counties (known as prefects) to help them out by identifying where migrants are living in their city’s emergency shelters.
So, in other words, deal with it, they’re here to stay.
Right now the European countries of Germany, Sweden and France have plunged their cities into chaos after accepting and housing hundreds of thousands of these migrants. In Germany, authorities have stated that “During the first six months of 2016, migrants committed 142,500 crimes” including violent and sexual crimes like rape, physical assaults, stabbings, robbery and drug trafficking.
So far, over 1,000 Swedish police officers (at least three a day) have resigned to protest the growing migrant crisis as they are unable to deal with the brutal crimes they are committing. And in France, whose citizens and tourists have been subject to stabbings and vehicle attacks as well as the horrifying night of the Bataclan massacre, they’ve seen their city streets turn into the grounds for refugee turf wars.
Folks if you think remnants of this doesn’t exist in the United States already think again.
A new report published Thursday shows that 92 percent of foreign nationals in federal prisons are in the U.S. illegally. That’s right! In the recent 2017 report, more than one in five individuals in prison were not born here! But hey!…who am I to say there’s an immigration problem?
