Teresa Ward, a school employee ironically in charge of behavior has been suspended from her job after a Snapchat video showing her snorting a white powder off a student’s finger went viral.
The ten-second video shows the 37-year-old leaning over a student’s in order to snort up the powder at the North Cestrian school in Altrincham, Greater Manchester.
The Snapchat video was shared around North Cestrian School in Manchester by students. The clip was captioned ‘Miss gettin onit’.
After seeing the clip, the school suspended the 37-year-old, however she later handed in her resignation.
Here’s what a mom of one student who attends the school for kids ages 13 to 17 had to say:
“My son was sent a Snapchat video from another student of Teresa Ward taking drugs with students at the school. The video has gone all through the school. My son showed it to me and you can see the other children in their blazers with her. The screen shot of the video was taken on the 17th of June, so the video must have been taken around the same time. In the video she is lounging around on the settee – it looks like she’s wearing her pajamas. She looks like she’s snorting off a student’s finger. You couldn’t make it up that she’s in charge of behavior at the school.”
Ward seems to be playing the victim and does not recognize the idiocy and severity of her actions. Why was she just ‘hanging’ with students in the first place?
Another image taken on the evening was by a student and was captioned: ‘When ya get a teacher from north ses back to the gaff hahaha’.
One parent, who claims students in the clip are wearing their school uniforms, said that the clip is ‘every parent’s worst nightmare’.
Lee Bergin, the headmaster at North Cestrian School, said: ‘This is a very serious matter and I would like to reassure parents and pupils at the school that it is being treated as such.
Here’s what Ward had to say about all this to The Sun.
“I’m going to lose everything. I’ve not even seen it. Nobody in my family knows about it, I no longer work there. I’m going to lose absolutely everything for a stupid two minutes of my life. I’ve got two boys, I’m a single mum. I don’t want to lose my boys. It wasn’t even drugs, I had a drugs test. I don’t even know what it was, these weren’t kids, they were 19.”
Why did she not have that little switch in her head that said that this would not be a good idea? THAT is why she should be fired.
