The rumors have been flying recently that Maxine Waters is seriously planning on jumping in to the 2020 presidential race and her recent actions just put that into overdrive.
It was just revealed that Maxine Waters will be making an appearance in the early presidential primary state of New Hampshire on Sunday.
The California congresswoman and darling of Trump haters nationwide even has a Maxine Waters 2020 Facebook fan page. It has 179 likes.
As WMUR reports, “According to an invitation, obtained by WMUR from Democratic sources, Waters will be in the state on July 23 for the picnic to be held at the Miller Farm in New Durham,” where the Strafford County Democratic Committee will be present.
In April, Salon Editor-at-Large D. Watkins praised Waters in a video published on Twitter.
Watkins stated five reasons “Why Maxine Waters should be our next president.”
#5 – “Maxine understands the people.“
#4 – “Number 4, Maxine Waters has an amazing reputation of being a fearless, outspoken advocate for women, the poor, children, people of color — pretty much everybody that was left out of the Trump campaign.”
#3 – Her opposition to the war in Iraq, “That’s something that (Hillary) Clinton, (George W.) Bush, (Donald) Trump, (John) McCain, all of those people couldn’t really figure out.”
#2 – She “loves the Millennials and we love her back … she is ‘learning our language and using the internet.’”
And the great big #1 – “She’s not afraid to attack the right. These are tough times and in tough times we need a tough leader. That’s why I nominate Maxine Waters to be our next president.”
I seriously doubt that Auntie Maxine could win the primary, but we did not give Bernie Sanders much credit either and he almost walked with it. In fact, had the DNC not cheated, he might have won and become President!
None-the-less, I think it would really make things interesting.
Liberal news and opinion site Salon released a video where its columnist D. Watkins detailed five reasons why he thought Maxine Waters should be president. The Daily Caller Foundation ran with it: Hilarious!
