Anonymous releases startling video claiming that NASA is about to announce the existence of alien life

Hacker activist group Anonymous has just released a video claiming that NASA is about to announce the existence of alien life. I know it sounds crazy, but it may have some merit as I suspect if they did, it would have to do with micro-organisms on other planets. I doubt that we are going to hear that we are in contact with another species. These days, who knows? Nothing would surprise me. It’s insane to think we are the only life out there.

There are far too many planets out there to dismiss life of some kind. Whether it is bacteria or much bigger. Or something we have never seen before might be more to the point here. However, this particular announcement may be just more nonsense as it is based on the text of three articles from conspiracy website ‘Ancient Code’. It’s so hard to tell the nuts from the credible sources these days. Astronomers have discovered roughly 30 exoplanets in habitable zones of stars so far, but you know there are literally hundreds of thousands more out there. The universe is a VERY big place.

The Anonymous group that released the video below did so on an unofficial channel claiming they are part of the hacker group. There’s no way to know and as with so many of these claims, it could all be just conspiratorial. NASA in the last couple of years though has hinted widely at declaring life out there in the universe… mostly in the form of microbial beings. This last April, the Cassini space probe discovered hydrogen on Saturn’s moon Enceladus, which is the ‘missing ingredient’ for microbial life on the seafloor of that icebound moon. And just this month, NASA’s Ames Research Center compiled and released the most reliable catalog to date of potentially life-bearing planets in our galaxy. They total 4,034. So far, over 2,300 planets have been identified out there that lie in the ‘Goldilocks Zone’ of their individual stars, which means they could support life. Over 30 of them are terrestrial-sized.

Anonymous is quoting articles that feature NASA associate administrator Dr. Thomas Zurbuchen, who made a speech in April during a congressional hearing on ‘Advances in the Search for Life’. He was quoted as saying, “Our civilization is on the verge of discovering evidence of alien life in the cosmos. Taking into account all of the different activities and missions that are specifically searching for evidence of alien life we are on the verge of making one of the most profound and unprecedented discoveries in history.” Of course, there is a big difference between searching and finding. Just sayin’.

It should be noted that Dr. Zurbuchen also said we have not found definitive proof of life yet. NASA is refusing to comment at this point. Some day though, life will be discovered out there. It’s hubris to think that humans are the only game in town. I’m just not sure this is that event though.
